DIY Innercooler Help

Guys,
Looking for some insight on the innercooler setups everyone is running. I have been surfing the internet enough to be officially confused. I am almost ready to pull the trigger on the Banks Kit with the Quick Turbo assembly. Here is my main question. Is there a DIY kit available. I see some pipe kits on ebay, and have seen a lot of threads mentioning kits, but a lot of those are from years back. I can line up a 6.0 intercooler, just need help with the piping and connections. Thanks in advance.

The DIY intercooler kit requires u to use a e99 spyder, any intercooler u want and a custom set of pipes. Weather u buy thoes pipes from a builder or make them yourself is up to u. Chris lahnom is the one who makes most of them but he is over seas right now. U can use SD intercooler pipes but u have to tweek the pipes with a little cutting and welding. All depends on your skill level.

Some one else will chime in on a good link. I dont remember it off hand.

I can usually handle kits and instructions, but not capable of welding. The banks kit is appealing cause it fits my skill level. Also looked at the cx racing kit.

There have been 2 guys on here who have installed the crx kit with great results. Some just dont like it because it looks smaller but the core of the intercooler is thicker then a stock SD cooler. Regarless of what u do it will serve your purpose and keep the egts down nd u will be able to crank up the fuel a little

I ran the e99 spyder with custom cut pipes, and. 6.0 cooler, I've heard good things on the cx racing kit, and great things on the ats and banks kits, everyone seems skeptic on the cxr just Kause it's not a huge name here, but same good results, good luck with your choice tho

Well the intercooler will slow the boost, so the quick spool housing should speed it back to keep it the same maybe more, I still have the factory housing and intercooler added but less egt's and lost maybe 4-5 lbs, but I can keep in it on the hills while hauling a load a lot longer than previous

I figured while I am up to my knees in it, might as well add the quick turbo housing as well.

Dont get the quick spool from banks tho... call beans diesel performance, they are 1/2 the price for the same thing. And only install this if u dont plan on upgrading injectors.
