6.0 Fan mod

Im considering doing the whole 6.0 fan on the 7.3 clutch. Is it a drop in install or would I have to get a new shroud or do any other work other then swap the blades?

"Swap the blades only nothing else needed"

Really!

Is it possible to buy a 6.0 fan, remove the blades from the hub and swap the fiber 6.0 blades for the 7.3 blades while the fan is on the OBS truck?

Or do you mean, just swap the fans and leave the stock shroud on the OBS afterward?

Basically, the weight reduces from 10 to 4 pounds, better flow, and when the clutch engages, its quieter.

I mean swap the fans, use the 7.3 clutch and use the stock shroud.

Youngbuck19, that's the same part number I came up with.

I too wonder if it's the correct part number.

If it isn't, could someone please tell us what is the right part number?
