Exclamation D66 GONE BAD!

Well my Dominator decided to head south on me today. The turbo started whining and the truck got really laggy. I called the great guys at Beans, they are shipping a warranty replacement to me with no hassles. I gotta hurry up and get it on and the truck tuned by the 12th for the Neb diesel show.

your joking me right....... mine just did the same exact thing to me. My D66 is in the mail somewhere between Mass. and Tenn. needing some serious attention by Bean and his turbo builder..... I'm pissed. I got my stupid stocker bolted on to my truck waiting for my D66 to get looked at and sent back to me. Makes me wonder, both me and you have had similar problems all within 3 days of one another. I ran the turbo for 10 days and its already off my truck, NOT cool.

the d66 is rated at 40 lbs. but my guess would be it still probly wont hold up well if it sees those boost numbers verry often. dieseltweek is running hybrids. Im almost thinking those injectors are to big for that turbo. time will tell I guess. Maybe some one just got sloppy when assembeling them.

I do have hybrids, but they are tuned way down for that reason. I just checked my shaft play, there is a lot. They are shipping me one in the morning. As far as boot #'s, My guage is being stupid and not reading correctly. I asume Im around 35lbs.

the turbo I have was strokin_early 99's, he ran it for several months with a few different size injectors, but the turbo was wastegated down to 37-39psi, so hopefully it wont have too much repairs needed to make it mint again. I'll have it back as soon as its repaired and sent to me. Bean's is always super busy, so it might be a little bit before I get it back I think. The turbo is less than 1 year old so we'll see how that comes into play when doing the repairs (warranty).

can you slide the shaft/wheel in and out. Is the shaft play lateral (in and out) rather than vertical (up and down)?
