I'm sticking with ITP for fuel.. but from everything I've read and been told, Bean is the person to go to for the turbo.

I'll still end up getting one from them but im just keeping a eye on this as for customer service etc..they are the only ones who have a upgrade for my truck without me changing alot of other stuff...

I think im gunna keep my stock turbo and pay the $250 extra for core.. I cant afford to have my truck down for a month or more while they rebuild a turbo if I should have issues with it and have to send it back

thats cool that they send ya another right away ..so still be down a week and a half or more for me because remember im in Canada. It gets held at the border for a time period.. can be a few hrs or a few days depends on brokerage .. I wish we didnt have a damn border.

I think it would be worth the 250 to have a back up turbo even if its stock

btw you are making the power level I am looking to achieve Id love to make 450 hp with this thing. that the goal with the d66 and injectors

Yall are making me nervous. My factory turbo is starting to whine and I was going to replace it with the D-66. I hit 30+ psi boost several times a day. I wanted the D-66 because I figured it could hold 35-40 psi and last me a very long time. Sounds like they stand behind the warranty and have good customer service but if the warranty only lasts 1 year then what? I don’t want to spend $1400 every year or two. Heck the factory $600 turbo lasted almost 3 years. I’ll probably still go with the d66 but I sure feel worse about it now.

Ok I'm back. I still have confidence in the D66 turbo, I dont think we have much to worry about, me and dieseltweek just had the same bad luck at the same time. As soon as I get my turbo back, I'll have no reservations with bolting it back on my truck and giving it hell. Bean's has an amazing customer service reputation, so I'm sure he'll do a more than satisfactory job when it comes to making my D66 'ok'. We'll see how it all turns out though.

a small amount of "wobble" or vertical play like you describe is completely normal even in a brand new turbo...its the horazontal or "in and out" play you have to worry about (i know you had both though).....just for anyones reference that would worry about it...
