I'm considering doing a swap from my e4od to a zf5 and i have a chip now on my auto. Will the chip work on a zf5?

Nooo you will need a re burn and probably a PCM from a 5speed

So other then the trans, how much roughly would I need to spend? A local guy can get me a trans without clutch relatively cheap.

You can get a PCM anywhere between $50-250, but custom tunes I have heard of getting the chip burned to make PCM think it is a stick, custom tunes reburn is like $150 for tw tunes

I doubt it would work, and at that price it isn't worth it to figure out $20 wrecked your trans/truck lol, go with something proven already and you will be fine
