Gauges... or this monitor? Check it out!

Alright so i was looking into getting gauges, and i came across this thing. Lemme post a link here,
BD Diesel 1080561 X2 Digital LCD Monitor Kit

Would i have to plug this guy into a chip? or would i just be better off going with standard gauges?

Gauges... or this monitor? Check it out!

There was a app for iPod and iPhones that plugged into the OBD2 port but our computers arnt smart enough for the feed back. Depending how where it hooks up to it might work

Someone would have to be the pioneer and try it out, and see if it communicates with our non-standard OBD-II port. And of course, you'd still need the sensors/wiring for the things that aren't managed by the PCM, such as exhaust temp and coolant temp.

Double bonus point for anyone who can incorporate the display and controls into our dash.

^^^^ An Excursion is mechanically a SuperDuty. Any old thing that speaks generic OBD-II will work with it. OBS computer communication is completely different.
