Anybody running it? What is it like instead of the TS 6 position?

I just installed one in my 94.5 a couple weeks ago. Mine is a 5spd. It took a while to get the custom tunes on mine for the stage 1's, but I love the chip. I got 10 positions on mine. I leave it in 80hp DD mode for the most part, but its fun to get into the throttle. Its damn fast.

I hit 35spi of boost on my stock turbo in Extreme mode. 32psi in 100hp performance. That was on two WOT runs with it. I haven't done one since. Seems like the mileage has gone up in the 80hp tune I run too. Jury will be out until I can do a moderate driving run. Right now its hard to keep my foot out of it all the time.

The tuning is cake. I installed my chip and then used the USB port to upload my tunes. Best part is that I can install other companies tunes as well on this chip if I choose to do so. It takes all of 5 seconds to upload each tune.

Digital with more settings..costs more up front and for tunes.

Unclear if anyone else will be able to provide tunes..best guess is just like a DP chip no one will burn tunes to it, but time will tell.

I was able to upload a tune from Total Diesel Performance onto the Hydra already. They sent me a tune to try out while my others were being setup by PHP.

So, the answer is yes, you can add other companies tunes to the chip as well.

its soposed to be able to hold all tuners tunes except for DP.. it can hold 17 tunes, 2 are defaults.. so it can hold 15 tunes from 15 different tuners if you would like!

I think the question now is, how many tuners are going to be willing to work with this chip, and send tunes to users so they can upload themselves?

question of the day... for a price im sure they all will, just depends on what that price is. i know most will not send you tunes if you have a TS burner unless u have a business license attached to the burner

When Total Diesel Performance sent me the one tune, he needed to know the serial # off of the chip itself. I assume because each tune is serial number based. So, the tune would only work on that chip and that chip only.

If this were the case, then it wouldn't matter since you couldn't upload it to another chip.
