buying stage 1s but have a question
im getting ready to buy a set of stage 1 injectors. i wanna keep my stock set of injectors and pay the core charge. im gonna keep them in the truck so if im on the road and a injector fails i can change it.question is can i run a stock injector in the mix if i break down running stage 1s.will it hurt anything for a short while until i can get another stage 1.

If you have a chip that you can flip down to a stock position, I don't see why you couldn't. But I could be wrong, I've never seen anybody ask before. I have stage 1's, and when I turn the chip to stock, it drives exactly like it did when I had stock tuning and stock injectors. Although I have seen the o-rings fail once or twice if the new injectors weren't seated properly.
I for one have never heard of a rebuilt injector from the reputable builders failing. I personally wouldn't worry about hauling injectors around, but if you want to then go for it! |

i cannot tell u if it will or if it wont, but i have seen a 6.0 run consistant 12 seconds on 7 xxx/xxx% injectors and one stock one. dont remeber the size of them. so i dont think i will hurt much..
aslo if u get a premium build, u have as much of a chance of it failing as u do a stock injector, you dont keep spares with u now?? so why would u then? just my O2.. get the core charge back. who are u looking at to get the injectors from? |
