chips???

so i recently just bought a ts 6 position chip for my 96 f-350 manul. when i was installing it i found out my truck had a superchip on it that i didnt know of.well i installed the ts runs good, but i was wandering if i could put that superchip on my 97 f250 auto can any one give me info???

Superchips are Vin locked. You can still use it as a code reader

are you saying it was programmed with a superchip handheld programme or it had the type of super chip that stays connected to the pcm?
if its the one connected to the pcm u should be able to use it on the 97
