Help with picking performance mods.

I have a 1996 f250 auto with 272k miles. It runs great.
What im looking for right now is a little more power and a little better fuel mileage.
I drive it every day. I dont really tow with it, only on occasions.
I might in the future go bigger.
So right now im thinking a programmer, exhaust, and gauges.
But I dont know which programmer to choose. I think I want to go with an edge but not sure which one.
The big difference is one is only for programming and engine diagnosis. So I'd have to buy separate gauges.
The other is a programmer and gauges all in one.
I'll have the same amount it them by the time im done.
So its really just my opinion if I want seperate gauges or not right?
And as far as exhaust goes im thinking 4inch.
But if im going to do more in the future could I go with a 5inch and still be ok for now?
And with the amount of miles that are on it should I do injectors? If I did It would only be stage one.

i had a superchips programmer and loved it, but i got my ts chip for about the same price, with 3 more options for power. i would def put an intake on, helps so much. and i have a diamond eye 4 in exhaust straight piped thanks to emission boundaries lol. with a 3 in down pipe. the only time i would think you need 5 in is if your pushing mad horsepower. guages are great. standard boost pyro and tranny temp. tranny especially if its not a built one. im lookin at stage 1's right now. also gotta look into a HPOP and i would try to intercool it as well.

Thanks, I planned on an intake I just forgot to mention it above. And the exhaust I was looking at was a diamond eye 4 inch straight piped.
So you think I should go the route where I get the gauges and mount them separately, because for the same price I can get the programmer that shows all that stuff.
And with the amount of miles it has would I need to do anything if I wanted stage one injectors?

Get custom tunes and separate gauges. The edge programmer will wreck your transmission

Agree^ honestly I wouldn't worry about stage 1s, she should handle it

superchips, edge, bully dog etc all run high egt's, high smoke/low power, and destroy auto trannies. Go with a custom chip... it's cheaper anyways!

Beans and Tony Wildman are the bosses @ 7.3 powerstrokes. Start there.
