ZF5-42 Transmission Leak
Hey guys,
I have a tranny leak from the rear seal(rtv) on the tranny housing. I pulled the tranny. Got all the bolts out for the rear seal, but the old seal has quite a hold. Is there an easy way to break the old seal with out banging the poo out of my tranny with hammer and wood? Edit: I found a spot on rear housing of tranny that is welded. The weld has cracked. This must be my leak... Should I get it rewelded or buy new casE? Thanks Last edited by lobograndemalo; 08-17-2012 at 10:26 PM.
