Jack, I'm an idiot. What's it been 5 hours? I just now realized that of course you were thinking with a turbo, otherwise why would he need a down pipe. That was my bad. Sorry.

so a buddy of mine is running to the salvage yard tomorrow to look for some parts for me. and i was wondering if the 17* HPOP off a 99 powerstroke would work on my 97? i have him looking for an e99 IC but im curious if he does find one if the HPOP would be an upgrade to mine, or if he'd have to find a late 99 to get the 17* pump. (the info i've gained from some research) and would it be a direct swap for the stock 15*? and another question. is there any other parts that can be upgraded by staying stock that i can pull of a 99 to replace a weaker part that i already have on my truck? im not looking for radical power. but i know our trucks under some mods have a hard time with the stock pump and egt's. so i definitely want to fix those before i do injectors and turbo and so fourth.

and does anybody have any clue where i can get a High preasure oil rail cross over tube kit, new o-rings and gaskets. like a link or just tell me who might have this stuff? after looking around. the only thing im finding about the crossover is saying its worth doing with the HPOP upgrade. but can't find anything online selling or otherwise.

Yes a 17* hpop would be a upgrade. E99-2003 will work. Here's a HPX line INTERNET SEARCH

i read that the e99 powerstrokes still had the 15*? so i need late 99 and up to 03 17* HPOP. and it should just bolt up like my stock one?

or should i bite the bullet and get the t500?
also i've been reading alot on how the stock fuel system in the valley be replaced? is that a good idea if im looking to get some power out of the truck? or should i keep the stock fuel system? if you say replace, what is anyones idea on replacing. i read electric pump may do more damage then good because they push fuel alot better then they pull? |
