T500 questions
I'm in need of a new hpop, and with Bean's 175's I might as well upgrade the pump. My question is how does it work, buying the pump?
Do I send in my *15 pump and get it back, or do I get *17 pump back? My concern is that for years and years all I've heard and read on forums is that the *15 pump is not desireable for anything other than stock injectors. Do they modify the *15 pump that I send in and does it do what the modified *17 does? I only want to do this one time. |

You can either send your pump in which will be modded to 17* plus a couple of other tricks or you can order a pump that is already modded and pay the core charge until you return your pump. You would just need to let them know that you are returning a 15* pump.

The 15* will need to be modded to the t-500, its no longer a modded 17* it is a t-500.

Is there any benefit of putting a t500 pump on with stock injectors till the injectors get upgraded?

Not really unless your stock hpop is weak but it would be best to have it installed before upgrading to bigger injectors.

i have stage 1 injectors so would a t500 be any large beneficial gain

A 17* pump is all thats needed with stage 1's..

You will notice a differnece on a stock truck with a pump, huge difference? Not really but throttle response will improve as well as atomization of the fuel so a slight mileage increase.

Well, this is moot because I got a great deal on a remanufactured 17* with a brand new IPR. Just waiting on a gasket to get it all back together, can hardly wait.
