7.3 Smoke Switch?

Alright do not read this or comment if you have anything bad to say about me blowing smoke. I have seen all the forums where people fight over it. I want to know about a 7.3 some switch. I have heard they work and they don't work. I have the info on how to put it on my truck and the stuff I need, all I need is to know if it works or if I am gonna screw up my truck. If anyone has had one work please tell me.. Thanks..

so you come on here and the very first post you make is how to make a smoke switch?? How old are you?

I am 17 and yeah I haven't had any problems with my truck me and my dad (mechanic) can't fix so I haven't really need to ask anything so I figured I would as because I wanted to know.

ive heard about messing with the map thats about it. ppl say there isnt one and some ppl say they have made one. heck there are vids with guys that "made" a smoke switch (never show it) and there truck is blowin smoke. i can think of 2 things: ppl in the vids just have a programmer and saying thats the smoke switch. Second, ppl think they have a 7.3 when its really a 6.0 lol

a smoke switch works by turning off the vgt solenoid on the Variable Geometry Turbo that the 7.3 doesn't have, they came out with that turbo for the 6.0l powerstroke. It basically closes the veins in the turbo so that it won't spool up when you hit the skinny pedal. Listen kid I'm not trying to be a d!ck as I know how much fun it is to own a diesel, but if your only goal is to make your truck smoke with a switch or programmer you don't need a diesel. Your goal to get smoke should be through powerful add-ons like injectors, and bigger turbos for those injectors not just because you wanna be "cool" and roal coal leaving the school parking lot. And you better be careful because cops are cracking down on diesels rolling coal all the time and can and will cite your for it.

Yeah I have been all over the internet and youtube but no one can show me they have a working switch! I have heard disconnecting the MAP sensor but I don't think I am gonna do that.. I have heard about a deal to fool your sensor but I don't wanna waist money on a sensor that may not work.
