K&N or no K&N?
So reading on here it sounds like the K&N cold air set up is a joke. My truck came with one and it looks like a fairly new kit. I got the truck in Feb. So if the K&N filter is junk should I change it out for something else? Can I use the tubes from the K&N and put a filter on it like the Tymar or the 6637? Thanks for the advise.

I do believe the 6637 will fit on the K&N pipe, if not a piece of 4" exhaust pipe will do, I prefer stainless pipe though. I would change it out, that's what everybody else will say too. I really don't like the fact that you have to make sure it is oiled, I like a filter with no upkeep.

i used one of the pipes from a cheap ebay k@n style filter i had on my expedition for the new filter and it fit like a glove

The k&n is a joke... ditch it immediately. 6637 should fit onto the k&n piping.
