Another chip thread haha

I am looking to buy a chip soon and just had a question, What all should i do before i add one? Its my daily driver, occasionally tow but nothing too heavy. Just looking to get some better millage and of course power (Smoke when i get on it) I know i need gauges, im looking at the diesel manor boost and pyro. I still have the stock hpop. My buddys dad said he would sell me a hypertech tuner for $100 but im not sure if thats gonna be good for me since its not completely stock. Thanks for the input in advance!

For the best chip money can buy, Beans Diesel Performance. Intake, exhaust, and downpipe are recommended to have prior to this.

The Hypertech programmer would work great for that application. You can tow on all 3 stages with our progammer, without a problem with the egts. You dont need a Pyro with our unit, we keep the egts in the normal range even under towing conditions as long as you stay within the manufactures towing range.

you can also get chips with custom tunes from performance outfits like Swamps and Beans Diesel

Well i was gonna just test it out to see if i liked it but I got an error. Called up Hypertech and it will be another 200+s/h just to get a new program on it.
