They are also not as reliable.
Why do you think the 6.0 flows more?
The 7.3 SD pumps last a very long time, and flow plenty. Run duals if you're worried about flow.
Oh. Yea but that's an entirely different engine. Different injectors, technology, everything. Idk what flow rates are and idk if I've even seen that date before.
If you want a 6.0 HFCM, go for it, but no reason to. Won't help you and you'll wind up replacing it before a 7.3 SD pump.
6.0 pump is a great pump to use if you want to maintain all the stock sensors working. It has the provisions for water in fuel and the vacuum sensor that triggers the fuel filter light. The number one reason these pumps have a bad rep is people dont take care of them. They ignore filters and the pump clogs and dies. They need a prefilter of about 10 microns to ensure nothing gets in them. The 7.3 pump can pump dirt and crap and be ok for the most part
Thoes filters are kind pricey... thats why most of us use a 7.3 pump with remote pre pump filters and and post pump filters. Which can be found at most auto shops and the 7.3 pump can also be found easlily if need be. As for the 6.0 pumps and filters cannot if ure broke down somewhere and need a filter or pump.
They do but again if u have an issue you are broke down waiting on a new unit to come in the mail. They are also known for having pump issues. And you have to buy their firlters
What size injectors do u plan on running... for 250cc/200s a 5/8" line should be run. For 160cc (stage 1s), im sure a 3/8" line will be just fine. And some where inbetween like 238cc/100s a 1/2" line should be run. But if u have a pump that is sized too small there is no sence in running a large line. Everything needs to be sized properly with one another
Ya ok im planning on stage twos 160/100% but i wanna build the truck up before ( tranny, turbo, studs, hpop, axles, & drivelibes that way its pretty much bulletproof

Makes sense... always good to build it b4 u blow it. With thoes injectors a 3/8" line will prolly be fine but if u want u could upgrade to 1/2" to be safe on flow. Also remeber u need a constant 50psi at WOT to keep the injectors lubed properly! Most guys run 65 to 72 regulated psi, but of corse that will drop at wot.
i dont think so... usually a low fuel pressure issue on ure truck is due to a failing mechanical pump....
if you are refering to the 50psi at WOT, no that is a flow calcultaion. if you pump cant keep uo to the injectors, no matter what fpr u have the psi will drop. and you should be removing the fuel bowl to do e-fuel anyway, could replace with a SD bowl but why?? most guys run an adjustable regulator on top of the engine
