Miles with mods

Just wondering how many miles yall have put on your trucks with mods..? I started modifying my 97 around 227xxx and now at 242xxx she's about ready for a new motor and tranny..

i have 277k and mine was chipped form day one. intake and exhaust was done at the same time. propane was added at 150k. i am the second owner but the original owner had all the maintenance records going back to 1997. near as i can tell its never gone more than 4000 miles without an oil change

Geez haha that is crazy you've never had anything go out on it? Like major parts.. I think mine is about done cuz where I live everyone's always trying to race lol

keep it on the track then lol, what ya got to prove? mine was bone stock other than a K&N drop in filter till 274k, been slowly adding mods and currently at 290k

Your motor is toast at 227k? What the **** did you do to it, run sawdust for oil and and gasoline instead of diesel???? Your motor shouldn't be anywhere near toasted at 227k.

What does racing have anything to do with toasting a motor or trans unless your beating the **** out of it?


FYI, our 8k lb trucks are about the slowest trucks on the road (aside from a 12v cummins). Who do you think your impressing?

started modding at 18xK now have 255K on it and just doing an IC and Injectors.

in the time i have owned it 105K I have replaced the alt, the starter, the clutch, the water pump, the belt tensioner, two serpentine belts.

also did e fuel, HPOP, rear disc conversion, and a D60 swap

plus the normal maintanence

Theres one guy on here, (dont remember who he is but) that has stage ones and over 500,000miles.

i have fixed things. but nothing major. upgraded to a superduty hpop when mine leaked, new fuel pump, water pump, serp, little things like that.

but compression is good, and injectors are stock
