1200-1250 is normal and you can run up to 1400 for a short burst. You do have your probe in one of the manifolds and not post turbo correct?

I have a hypermax turbo/egt combo guage on my truck. when you get on it the egt raises, but drops as soon as you let off the throttle. it goes to the drivers side manifold, that doesnt seem right. I question its accuracy.

When you accelerate and inject more fuel, EGTs go up.
When you don't have fuel, they go down. What's so wrong about that?
