injector question
I have a 97 I recently bought, and the idm is from a 2002 truck. So from factory I guess it had single shot injectors? So would it have to be switched to split shots, or would it still run with singles? It ran fine and sounded like your average 7.3 thanks for your input!

The idms are the same except for the output voltage, it's the pcm that tells the idm if it is firing single or split shot injectors. Your truck would have split shots if it was a California model single shots if federal model.

x2 on that, IDM is gonna be same on all of them aside from the voltage, and injectors are gonna single is from anywhere but california, look for a sticker on pass side valve cover to determine if it is california emissions compliant
