Thoughts on KT custom tunes

just ordered my TS chip a few days ago. and i was looking in to getting a reburn in about a month from KT performance. anyone tried them? i want to get a reburn for the eco and the lope tunes.


worth doing? any better than the TS tunes? i ordered it with stock, high idle, 50, 75, 100 and 140hp.

I have not heard anything about them (you might ask them who does their programs). Personnaly I would go with tunes from Tony Wildman @ Total Diesel Performance (TDP), Bill @ Power Hungry Performance (PHP), Matt @ Gearhead Automotive Performance, Bean's Diesel Performance (BDP), or Swamps Diesel Performance. I would also mention Jody @ DP Tuner, but I don't think he uses the TS chip platform. Cheers!

yea my second choice was PHP. i was just wondering because KT does reburns with "custom tunes" for $35 + shipping to and from. they probaly are just generic tunes as well.


do you have an idea of what a PHP reburn would cost?

I doubt you'll get anything remotely custom for $35+shipping. Generally custom tunes will run you $2-250 with lifetime reburns.
At $35 everyone and their grandma would be using that place.

yea, thats why i asked. thats why i said there probaly generic tunes also.

just wanna see if there better than the TS settings.

If you read the description, it says PHP reburn for the item number. I'm guessing they are a PHP dealer and burning PHP tunes but I would ask before I spent the money.

They are PHP tunes. That is where I got my chip from. I am happy with the tunes so far. I have been debating on having it reburnt from someplace custom so I can do a little more with my fuel because of the intercooler and e-fuel.
