CCV line
Would it hurt anything to vent it to the atmosphere instead of back into the intake.
I want to run the line just down under the truck. I am building a cold air intake and didnt know if i need to make a spot for the vent line. |

There are a lot of guys that vent to atmosphere. Only thing is run it to behind the cab unless you enjoy breathing the fumes and make sure it runs down hill all the way back, no bellies in the line to trap the oil. Also some make a catch can to keep oil from dripping and blowing all over everything. There are several write ups for the CCV mod.

if you run the hose up and over the brake booster the oil will drain back through the valve cover into the head mjonesjr has a very good write up in his build thread

Got mine venting passenger side middle of the bed...you can see and smell it sometimes depending on wind. those vapors going back in your intake is like breathing in your own farts.
