Got a code for bad cps....

For the heck of it, I plugged my buddies edge programmer into my truck and ran codes. Says I have a bad CPS pretty much. Only 1 code. What are symptoms of a bad cps that I might be able to notice? Will a bad cps kill power/mileage?

Where can I get the new style cps from?

Do you remember which code it was? When I first got my truck and was using the Superchip for diagnostics it kept reading a "CPS Intermittent" code even with a brand new sensor and truck running perfectly.
Haven't had the issue since I moved to A.E.

No I don't. It didn't say cps tho, I don't think. Something about crank timing or cam timing being off, but it didn't directly say "cps"
