locker

i am not exactly sure of the rearend i have in the 99 250 auto 2wd but heres the question will a locker 10.5 from a gm 14 bolt work? i don't see why it would matter if it was a dana, sterling, corporate or whatever as long as the ring carrier was 10.5, would i be correct on this? the locker is selling fairly cheap and hardly used.

Thanks for the opinions

Unfortunately axle parts differ between manufactures so seldom if ever do parts interchange. According to Randy's ring and pinion web site your truck could have either the 9.75 or 10.5 rearend in it

They are completely different axles. Yes they share a 10.5 inch ring gear diameter that is it. By the way you cant just "repack clutches" it takes special tools to preload the side gears so that you can get the remaining spyder gears in the diff.
