buying chip locally? big hoss?

Hey guys, looking at buying a big hoss banks chip from a local guy for 50 bucks,


it came off an obs 97 powerstroke like mine, but his is an auto..he said the code is tde1, does this have to match up with my pcm code or something?


50$ seems pretty cheap, its obv a canned generic tune, but Im just curious what you guys have to say.

Their website says calibrate to order so I would think that if you have a different pcm code it would need to be re-calibrated. http://bankspower.com/products/group...%20Programmers
