Google "Garrett GT42 turbo" and you'll probably see a million pics. Looks like every other standard rotation turbo out there- H2e, QSSB, S300 series, etc.
Which turbine housing did you go with and are you buying or building a mount kit? |

Just curious (I'm asking because I don't know) - with it being bigger, will there be an increase in Turbo lag while this guy spins up?

What are the specs on it? From what i found online its most likely a 75-76mm inducer?
If he's on stock fuel i imagine that it will be very laggy. If he's got decent sized hybrids or B-codes it will be driveable. But it will not act like a stock charger. |

With stock sticks you may as well forget it... you'll never get that turbo to spool I wouldn't think. 250/100 hybrids are a nice injector for that turbo but it can handle more.

yes there will be lag. gating it @ 35 to preserve the motor.
stiks are stage 2. dual hpop. 6.0 fuel pump chip will be from php. they are close to me so i will have them dyno tune. going so big because i only want to do it once. picked up a long block it has been stripped and @ the machine shop. goal is 800 to 1k. it will take several years or the lottery to finish the motor. and it will not be a dd when the motor is finished. it will be a drag and fun truck. with a quick change tranny |
