Chips?
Sorry to bother you all again on ? But is it possible to run a bully dog programmer with a ts chip on a 97?

I would bet not (and why would you want to?). The programmers usually "replace" the PCM programming. "More" is not necessarily always better. I would contact one of the custom tuners out there (Tony Wildman @ Total Diesel performance, Matt @ Gearhead, Jody @ DP Tuner, Bill @ Power Hungry Performance, Swamps Diesel, Beans Diesel Performance) and tell them what you are looking to achieve. Those Cummins guys end up buyin an awful lot of trannies too. Could be related to driving style though.

Na dodge trannys just suck but I don't think you can because each chip will override each other and the last chip you put on will be the one ur running on

You can, if you have a chip on it will run off of that instead of what's loaded into the PCM. Pick one and leave it.

Yeah, you don't want to stack on a 7.3....wouldn't help, anyway, as the chip overrides the PCM programming.
And best to lose the edge. |
