BD Thruster II

So I was in class tonight, and had my truck on the lift, trying to chase down this clunk I've been having. I had my hood up and was BS'in with my instructor, because he used to have a '97 7.3. One kid from another class came up and starting BS'in with us too. He asked what I had done to my truck, and then started talking about a good buddy of his who now owns his own diesel shop after being layed off from ATS when the economy tanked.

He asked if I had any particular turbo in mind, and then told me he could get me a deal on the BD Thruster II through his buddy. I've seen this turbo mentioned a few times, and from spending a few minutes on google, it seems to have a good rep around it.

His buddy has a pretty healthy 97 7.3 running the BD, stage 2's, etc... He does a lot of transmission work, and deals with Suncoast, which also got my interest, since obviously a stock reman'd tranny is only going to hold 325+ hp for so long. But that's a different story.

Aside from my rambling... Has anyone here used (or know someone that has) used the Thruster II, and how does it perform?

I just finished a flange matching port/blend job on a non EBPV outlet on one tonight.
Installing tomorrow.
i got it for a deal I couldn't refuse. Gets good reviews from what I found and is rebuildablefor less than the arm and leg it costs to buy a new center section for a GTPR.
