Exhaust Manifolds

Any one know where I can get new manifolds for a 97 OBS? I am replacing the up pipes and the intercooler since I am taking the cab off. I know the manifold are leaking but I can not find them any where except from Ford who wants a grand for them. I have also heard a rumor that the 6.0 manifold fits to the 7.3 is this true? I would do that if it I know for sure it works.

A junk yard would be my first suggestion. Riffraff Diesel sells SD manifolds for under $200 a piece, you might ask if he can get the OBS manifolds as well. Passenger side is the same, the drivers side is different from SD to OBS. The SD drivers side manifold MAY work, but I can't say for 100% sure.
Also, unless you or someone else added the intercooler, the truck doesn't have one. If it does, why would you want to replace it? They don't commonly fail.

I'm pretty sure there is alot more involved in taking the cab off of an OBS rather than a 6.0.

Meant to say adding intercooler in replace of original. Also anyone know of a good turbo rebuild kit or a good aftermarket?

Riffraff Diesel can also get you the rebuild kit for the stock turbo.

Did you try carquest or NAPA for the exhaust manifolds? I am getting mine from Carquest

yes there are "headers" high flow manifolds out there. don't know if they work just that i have seen them. To the OP check the for sale section. I think Jimmy (jd3020) or Jake (jake) has a set for sale

was just reading up on them... not much gain to them and they are $$$$ and very easy to warp and fail. better off sticking to the cast ones and hoaning them out of you want some more flow,

but i realize that you just need a set, you just made me think thats all
