Transfer Case Question

Situation: I put my F-350 on neutral then on the floor shifter I engage 4hi. Then I go to neutral and engage 4lo . When I engage to 4hi no problem . When I disengage to neutral still no problem . When I engage 4lo gears grind. I don't force 4lo ,But I do turn the truck off and shift to 4lo and then turn the truck on no problem . grinds to disengage 4lo to neutral and from neutral to or thru 4hi to 2hi it grinds . why does it do that? you tried in park, and is this while setting still?

yup! is there some kind of adjustment screw somewhere on the transfer case or trans ?

I usually put my truck in park to engage 4lo even though it will go into 4lo in neutral with just a very slight grind and has been like this every truck I've had with the BW transfer case. Other than that do you have ATF in your transfer case?
