6.0 turbo 7.3 motor
Has anybody tried a 6.0 vgt turbo on a obs 7.3 or know of anybody who has it sounds like it would be a great idea lemme know what you guys think

ive asked myself and got shot down, the thing about the vanes in the vgt turbo and controlling them, running twins or sequential turbos would be better since no need to adjust turbo to pick up more spooling and boost

I read a thread somewhere about this, don't remeber where, but a guy did it. He even has a video on youtube of it. I'm not a mechanic, but I couldn't make heads or tails of what the guy was talking about. It sounded real good though.

He did it but he's one of a handful if that. The VGT requires a separate controller and he built it but it was complicated.

wonder what he would charge to build another one? and with the turbo upgrades for those it would still be an improvement over our next couple levels up

What would be the performance gain out of a 6.0 turbo? I would assume that stock injectors are probably too small being it is a bigger turbo, maybe not? Just seems to be very complicated compared to a regular turbo upgrade.

well when you get to the point you have larger than stock injectors and are pushing more psi than the stock turno is any good for, you need a turbo upgrade, and in some cases mountin and find a stock 6.0 turbo it is cheaper than a d66

I would still buy the D66 just for the fact that it is a bolt in replacement. I would probably have the D66 in before I got all the parts for a 6.0 turbo figured out, just me. Don't get me wrong, I think it would be awsome, but I don't see it practical.

Idk if the 6.0VGT was a bolt in. He's got a youtube video of it.
What are 6.0 sticks? 195CC or something? |

And performance would be is off the idle you would have turbo spool and would and keep optimal psi through the RPM range |
