Just dropped about $2500 in tires (Cooper's 315's) shocks (Bilsteins) and some front end work. Truck has 295,000 and runs really good. Next is gauges, 3" down pipe and tw tune then inter-cooler. I'm good with what these are gonna cost except for the inter-cooler. $1500, seriously? If that is what it's going to take then okay. It seems like too much to me. Am I wrong or are there other alternatives.

What? The cord hanging down? It's a hybrid.

If you can do some fab work, you can retrofit a 99+ factory intercooler into it. You will need an early 99 intake spyder, boots, and clamps (or something like a Banks spyder). You will also need the piping which will need to be modified a bit to work (or fabricate your own) and all the boots. I have an old writeup from a guy that used to sell a kit to do the retrofit (doesn't any longer). PM me your email address if you want me to send it to you (there are also a number of writeups on the web out there as well). Cheers!
