Parallel Turbos

Its been a couple of years since I last wrote anything on this form. Computer crashed and lost my fav. Just found you again and its time for some updates since my last visit.

First off I got my parallel turbos up and working. I built the manifolds, and all the piping. Bell turbo built the turbos for me. Used a air to air intercooler from a twin turbo mustang, and a water to air also. Here is some pictures of my set up.















The turbos are working, Pulled all year last year with no problems at all. Not its time to do something about the intake. So here is this winters project.

As far as HP goes. I will be happy with anything over 500HP, will keep the nitrous to about another 100. Only time will tell. Will have to see what the new injectors and tune does the the truck. The best to date HP is 450HP. If you have a good welder and grinder, you to can weld. It just takes time.

You are right. I have been posting pictures of the truck on the Nation.


I got the manifolds back from the machine shop yesterday. Will have the turbos back on the truck and running today. Still have to mount the air filters and some more fab work before it can hit the road again. Will post more at that time.

With a true duel exhaust it sure has a different sound. With the side pipes it sure is loud in the cab. Just like a hot rod should.

You are right, with a good welder, and practice, nearly anyone can weld. To fabricate with the degree of "professional" looking results as you have, takes lots of practice, and some talent.

For me it all starts with a good idea.

The twin turbo set up was rather straight forward. The intake on the other hand was not so easy. This was my 3rd attempt on getting something that would fit under the hood. I am happy with the way it came out.
