The chip will work, the programing on it won't, it will need to be reburned with the correct code for your year of truck.

The 1999 and up trucks use split-shot injectors, where as 1995-1997 use single shot injectors. You need different programming for split-shots.

Depending on the chip, you may need to contact a Diablo dealer, if its a Van Aken chip, I can reburn it for you.

I would sell that chip and buy a TS, Van Aken, or DP Tuner. In the long run you will probably be happier!

I don't think it will hurt anything to try. If it dosn't work it will probably tell you right when you plug it in. If it does work then you're in business! Good luck!

It will NOT work. You said the chip came out of a Superduty, correct?

It will HAVE to be reburned before it will run in your truck. The chip fits exactly the same, the programing on the chip is what will have to be changed. All that will happen is the check engine light will stay on the truck will not start.

If you can take a pic of the chip and post it up, I can tell you if I can reburn it for you or not. Unless of course you don't want my programs then don't worry about it.
