stage 2's?

ok i have my truck gauged, straight piped but still with stock down pipe, diy 6637 intake and fpr shim. im looking to try and put down some decent power with my truck and have figured i wanna run stage two injectors. what do you guys recomend i get before installing the stage 2's? the biggest thing is i need this truck to continue to be reliable. thanks again guys

Replace the down pipe before the injectors IMO.

well i know that i already have one from mbrp on order im just wondering what else besides the down pipe?

You'll probably want a little more turbo. Modded H2e is a nice turbo but comes at a price.

well, i'm going to assume you have an auto, so your deffinately gonna wanna upgrade it, at least a tc and shift kit/vb upgrade, then a custom tuned chip for the injectors to get their full potential, 17* hpop or adrenaline to keep oil pressure up, stock turbo will last a while with 2's, i had 2's in mine with a stock turbo for over a year b4 i sold it, and the boy i sold it to is still runnin it, but on the same side i was runnin generic bully dog tunes, custom tunes will be hotter, then an intercooler would be advisable also to keep your egt's down, cause trust me, they get hot fast

custom tuned chip is one of the things you will need the computer is only designed to flow 98cc of fuel so basically getting a custom tuned chip lets you flow the right amount of fuel for aftermarket injectors.

ok sounds good im already starting my list. now for intercoolers i have been doing some research and have seen many guys custom fitting 6.0 intercoolers to there trucks why not a intercooler outta a 99 to 02 7.3l that way you can use all the tubing from that 7.3 also? is there any downsides to that? and who is best to go to for well built yet inexpensive stage 2's?

6.0 or 7/3 intercooler both fit, 6.0 is a little larger so it will cool a little bit better, as for the piping, even piping from a sd 7.3 will need to be modified to fit, and from what i understand is a royal P.I.A., i would search ebay or put out a wanted ad on here for obs intercooler pipes, for injectors, i would go with rosewood, he has really good prices and from what i understand is a really great guy to deal with

for stage twos you will need
Custom chip
Big HPOP
electric fuel
built trans
D66 turbo at least
intercooler

biggest issue with twos is EGTs and Trans failure from what i hear

17* pump will be fine, granted a new modded Stealth pump would be great but not required. But unless you drive and never turn up the chip you need IC, Fuel, BTS, Turbo..a modded H2e is best.
