e40d question

my truck was made late 94. my transmission just blew apart,case and all. i am buying another transmission from ford because i work there. can i upgrade to a 1997 e40d or do i have to have the one from 94.different part numbers.

i believe they are 2 different systems. Powerstroke? and with the advent of OBDII in 96, they are more than likely controlled differently.

it will fit. im just not sure on the wiring tho.

Get a '97..HD if they have them?? add a 6.0 Tq converter if you plan additional HP mods.
