Mavsps, I talked to BTS and they said the best things to preserve the E40d is the Valve Body and a Torqe Conv. but get it checked out by a quality shop and go from there. PS mine is doing the same thing and was told to get a shift kit. The valve body has the kit already in it.

BTS valve Body was somewhere around $230-$250 plus Core. In my opinion worth the extra money vs. shift kit.Please keep me posted on what you come up with and call BTS they were very polite and helpful.

If you haven't bought this truck yet DON'T The Transmission is going out all ready. You are looking at $ 3500.00 to have it rebuilt and $4000.00 for a BTS 2 & 3 are what goes out on these E4OD's.

Also, another let down, You won't get 140 hp from a tune unless you install larger injectors. With stock injectors, you will only see about 70 hp gains.
