ive heard about this but someone point me to a write up about it??

7.3 Power Stroke IDM Modification


Product Information


Injector Driver Module Upgrade - +15-30hp
Bean's Diesel Performance offers custom IDM modification. This modification increases the voltage to your fuel injectors, providing improved throttle response and increasing torque. This modification works with any hp application. We must have a core for this modification. The IDM modification works on all 7.3L Power Strokes and the IDMs are interchangeable between the 94-97 and the 99-03 models

HOW THE CORE CHARGE WORKS:
Your IDM must be a working unit. There will be no refund issued if your IDM is fried.

You will need to choose 'Send my modified IDM first' from the drop-down menu below if we are sending you a modified IDM from our stock. We will process the order for your modified IDM and you will send in your core after you receive the modified IDM. We will issue a check for the core refund after your core is inspected and found in working, usable condition. All cores must be received within 14 days of receipt of modified IDM.

If you do not want to pay the core charge, you can send your IDM to us first. Chose 'I will send my core in first' from the drop-down menu below. We will modify your IDM when it comes in and send it back.

Any real gains or dyno sheets dose this work if u have a chip as well????

I did the mod to a friend's 96 and my 2000 at the same time. The 96 had a intake, exhaust and 10k. The IDM mod significantly woke up the truck. On my 2000, I couldn't tell the difference, but I didn't try it out with stock tuning.

Ok, so I finally got my resisters in the mail and got up the nerve to do this mod on my own. All I have to say is WOW!!! My truck runs and revs so much smoother now. It revs like a gasser. Throttle response is instant and smooth. This is a mod I would highly recommend doing. The improvement this mod made in performance and idle of my truck is unbelievable for what it cost.

The only tip I have that made the cover removal seem simple - I used a hooked pick to remove the sealant in the groove and then heated the outer edge with a heat gun. The cover came off no problem once I got a corner started.

I ordered ten resisters (75k for 100v and 110v IDM) because they were cheap and I figured some of you guys wouldn't mind trying this. PM me your address and I will toss one in an envelope and mail you one (free). I have eight left. Doing my dads truck next.
