Vin Decoders..

Hey all, sorry if this is a big Repost.

Are there any VIN decoders out there that will give you the axle gear ratio? I'm looking at a D60 For my truck and it has 4.10's. I'm not sure what my truck has. I have a 97 F250 w/Powerstroke and e40d. Any help is greatly appreciate.

I'm not around my truck and won't be for a while or I would just go count teeth.

I dont know of one that will give you the axle and gear ratio.

But if you get the axle code off the door sticker we can tell you what you have

Maybe I'll be able to get the wife to take a picture of the door plate when she gets home today.

Alright finally got the wife to snap a quick picture for me. Hope this has what I/you need.

Wow, now that I got that I did a quick search. Looks like I have 4.10's.. Anyone confirm that?

jack the truck up mark the rear u joint and the dif housing in the same spot, then mark the tire at the exact top. if you have 4.10s your drive shaft should spin 4.1 times for ever one full tire rotation

Would work great.. EXCEPT.. Im on the other side of the world right now. So no can do on that.

Not sure what the 1991 is all about.. I have a '97... does that just mean 1991 and up had it?

i had two otherpost in here that had more info. i miss read your post so i edited. i have a 97 with the same axle code


but that pdf is for a 97 and its on page 191 for axle codes.
