Exhaust Brake Questions

Well I am considering getting an exhaust brake and I have heard that it can tear S*$T up i.e tranny turbo and valves im not sure how true it is, but if itts not true the I was wondering what a good brand of exhaust brake to buy?? thanks in advance guys

I've not used an actual exhaust brake. I have a DP decel tune that closes the stock exhaust butterfly valve as a brake. It works decently for me, and it is cheaper, but the "real thing" is considered better. Not heard any big downside to it.
