has to be early 99. the 99.5 and up use a bigger turbo flange

what he said, has to be Early 99 or you could get banks intercooler pipes.

ok thanks guys. is there a way to set it up without using one and just running the piping direct off the turbo and then directly into the y pipe with the y pipe turned around?

it can be done but you would have to cut up two other y pipes. simply because you need that special end for the clamp
You can modify the stock Y pipe to work, but its not easy. I'll post a link later.
