Need some help...
I recently purchased a 1997 f-250 powerstroke and I want it to smoke at least a little. Right now it blows some white smoke and thats about it. It has 3.5 inch straight pipe. Any info would be awesome.
Thanks, Miklal |

With the size of the stock injectors, you can't "roll coal". With my PHP chip I can put out a slight haze of black. New injectors along with supporting mods, and lots of cash, will give you smoke.

White smoke, when?...White smoke is generally a head gasket. Somewhere or someplace water is getting by and into the cylinder. A good way to check this (while not 100% accurate) is to look for bubbles in the water reservoir with the engine running. If you see ANY bubble(s) that means cylinder pressure is getting by the head gasket.
