a few questions??

im wondering if i can run stage 1s with a stock turbo and hpop? also what brand of injectors are reccommended? looking more towards the beans stage ones and also getting some tw tunes.... any advice is welcome im new to the diesel world

Yeah stage 1s work well with stock turbo and hpop. Thats the setup I run and it added alot of power. Beans would be a great choice. Also look at Rosewood Diesel Shop. You dont NEED tranny work but I would for sure. The stock tranny will not like that added power for long.

Beans diesel does have good injectors, but if you ever plan on upgrading anything else like HPOP, tranny, turbo or bigger injectors. i would get a custom chip from beans because they will retune your chip for any upgrades free of charge when you get your chip through them.

i would upgrade the valve body in the tranny and maybe a better torque convertor. how many miles on tranny?

96 F-250 ext. cab long box 4x4
Intake, auto meter(oil psi, tranny,boost, EGT) IDM mod, .030 over rebuilt motor, comp 910's, BDP d66 turbo, BDP stage one injectors, BDP fuel system, t500, BDP custom tuned 6pos, coolingmist water/meth, 3in downpipe 4in duals, dana 60 swap, 203* t-stat

the truck has 165,000 on it.... id like to go ahead and get some tranny work done but this would just postpone due to lack of money... if ya know what i mean...

my tranny made it to 180,000miles with no power adders...but it worked everyday pulling grain or hay bails. you could do a BTS valve body and a good torque convertor and a bigger tranny cooler. that will help you alot if you plan on adding alot of power from a aftermarket turbo, injector and chip.

if you get stage ones and later want to go bigger i have heard putting like 80% nozzles on stage one pretty much make them stage twos.

i have been searching around and people have told me that with stage two injectors, adrenaline HPOP, custom tuned chip, and a dominator 66 turbo, intercooler you can get pretty close to 500HP.
you cant really get over 500HP without upgrading the fuel system on these trucks.

yeah im not looking to make 500hp any time soon.... i just wanna make the truck run a lil faster... its just so slow... another question.. if i add the stage 1s then will the egts go up high? will i need to do an intercooler?

Ya if u tow alot you can always benifit from an intercooler

You won't get to 500 with that combo Low 400's to mid and not that much with out fuel..stage 2's need a fuel system.

Stage 1's and a stock turbo, good condition.. is fine and if your trans is in good shape then a 6.0 Tq converter, BTS or JW VB and the biggest cooler you can find will help it survive. 6.0 IC to help the egts..and get a TW chip.
