TPS SENSOR

CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT IS TPS SENSOR & ON WHAT PEDAL I HAVE AN 96 350 4X CREW AM NEW HERE JUST GETTN ROUND FOUND A DISCUSION ON TRUCK SHIFTN TO QUICK & NO POWER TAKIN OFF SOUNDS LIKE MINE & TPS WAS THE CURE MY TRUCK IS BONE STOCK FOR THE MOMENT

should read 0.5-5.0 volts depending on postion.
