Possible soot problem

Two days ago I had a 3" dp and 4" cat delete pipe installed. The rest of the stock exhaust after the cat is only 3.5" and the installer said he wouldn't be able to weld the cat delete to the 3.5" stock exhaust. So I have my cat delete under the cab and I'm wondering of the accumulation of soot inside the cab will be a problem. As of now I don't smell exhaust inside the cab, but I've read posts of people having this problem.
