obs downpipe options

whats the obs downpipe options out there? i have a gt38r on a SD pedistal. the turbo has a 4in outlet then necks down to 3in and then back to 4 then to my 5in exhaust. is there anyway to fit a 4in down pipe in there so i can have it just go from 4in to 5in?

were there is a will, there is a way !! I would not want to go there myself, the 3" was a PITA, yes It can be done, but I don't know if bending the firewall in enough would work, you may need to cut a section of it out and fab a new sheet metal cupped insert piece. Remember that you need about 1/2" clearance (firewall to pipe) so that you don't have a nasty vibration noise in the cab. this happened to me and I had to take it out and bent the firewall more. Guys on here have done it, maybe someone will chime in with an other idea. Good Luck !!!

I have heard to fit a 4" downpipe teh firewall has to be cut out and reshaped to make it fit. Maybe you could fit a 3.5 with beating the firewall up alot.

people have put body lifts in and are able to clear a 4incher but Im not a big fan of body lifts. You would have to do some decent modifying of the fire wall to clear a 4inch down pipe because looking at my 3inch one its already really really tight

I know a feller on another forum that put a 4" SD down pipe in his OBS and installed a van turbo. He had to do some serious re-shaping of the firewall to make the down pipe fit, and he said if he had to do it over again he wouldn't go there.
