WILL IT BLOW UP?

I have the banks kit on my truck with the quick spool housing , and i was wondering if i put an intercooler on it with a TW and a set of stage 1's will i blow up my turbo? I would like to modify my truck to haul a$$. If anyone has info on this please help me. I will trade out the housing for 1.15 if that is the right route, but i like the get up and go off the line. I would rather spend money now than find out the hard way

I have
intake
banks power pack
straight pipe
gauges
upgraded trany

thanks for any info in advance

Get rid of the banks stuff and go with the tw and stage I's... stock turbo will be ok with I's if it is in good shape and you dont constantly beat on it.

7.3l's are hard to get to "haul a$$" compared to other models it seams.. It can be done. Just more expensive..

The banks housing is i believe .84 or 1.0 banks customer service sucks!!! This is how i bought the truck , i was just curious if any one has put stage1's on a smaller turbo ? I know an intercooler will drop PSI so i want injectors to try and bring it back up. What is the max PSI i can put out with these bushing turbos? thanks for the help guys !!!!

The intercooler won't drop psi, you just have further to push the air through, injectors won't fix that.

You'll be fine with that turbo on stage 1's.

Just try to keep under 30psi.

a smaller housing will help it spool faster but.. it rasies ur egt's so without a intercooler ull melt somethings guna melt down... im looking at doing the same thing. if u do loose any psi wit a intercooler its not noticable but its so worth it.

I was reading about h20/ meth kits for high EGTs and is this a safe idea ? Or is there a better way to keep EGTs down ?

Yeah tuning. I can tow in a hot tune and control my EGT's with my foot.

Just pick your tuner carefully.
