I've owned a PSD for a grand total of one day now but I've been poking around the forum a lot and from what I've read the these bad boys are limited only by the fuel you can give them, which isn't much with stock pump and injectors.

If you want to blow two grand I'd go with a pump, stage II injectors, gauges and a good tune for that chip.

Again, bear in mind that I'm a guy who just bought his first diesel and hasn't had time to so much as change the oil but I have been putting together a mod list for my '95. Here's what I was thinking:

Stage 2 Injectors from Rosewood Diesel Shop $885
DIY-Injectors.com

3 set of gauges $200
99-06 FORD SUPER DUTY GAUGE POD + B7 EGT BOOST TRANS : eBay Motors (item 290405352756 end time Mar-22-10 21:47:54 PDT)

Adrenaline HPOP $589
https://www.dieselsite.com/index.asp...ROD&ProdID=894

That leaves $326 for a tune. I don't know what the going rates are but I imagine they're in that ballpark if you supply your own chip.

That would give a lot more power and it should support a new turbo should you want one down the road. Of course, that would be something like a D66, a pricier turbo would need pricier injectors and the like to support it. Not to mention, you're already pushing your transmission well beyond what it was built for. Damn near everyone recommends an upgraded valve body for the E4OD but I haven't been able to find one for the 94.5-97 models.

Thoughts? Criticisms? Witty remarks?

I would not reccomend stage 2 injectors on a stock transmission.

You should atleast have good converter and valvebody and still you are pushing the limits of the clutches.

But your mod list so far is good man.

Rosewood has some great deals on injectors, i have their stage 1's and i like them alot, kinda wish i had stage 2's right now, but then i would need to uprgade turbo, and probably fuel system to have it reliable.

As for HPOP the Adrenaline is from what i hear a great pump. But if you can find a 17* off of a superduty for cheap, i would get that sent into terminator and have it modded. It is normaly much cheaper in the end.
