wat would be the easiest way for a DIY propane install. me an some of my friends were talking about just having a line run from the tank to a hole in the intake with a very small opening in the line with the propane would this work or no?

Well, yes and no. Would you grill your steak with such an apparatus? Probably not. Propane kits are equipped with a regulator, check valves, vaporizer, as well as a control module to vary the flow to the engine. Unregulated propane pulled into the intake can result in a runaway situation (engine can't be shut off due to combustible intake mixture, and accelerates uncontrollably, usually resulting in destruction to the engine and it's surroundings.)
