whats yalls oppinion on this transmission i have close to 200k on my truck and as far as i know nothing has been done to the clutch flywheel etc...should i be expecting my clutch to fly apart soon??? and what clutch and flywheen setup do you recomend?

I guess it depend on how you use your truck, if your pullin on it all the time then probably not goin to last long, but if you take care of it it will last a while yet. Actually I'm suprised it's still holding up to your tw chip. I like my South Bend clutch and dosen't have any problems with my TS.

im runin the bully dog my ts quit workin again so i went back with ole faithfull lol..but yea maybe the guy before me put a new clutch in it i bought it with 145k on it when does the clutch usually go out on these trucks

my flywheel was comin apart and i just replaced it with a southbend 350HP clutch. it feels great so far.

definetly a good upgrade.

I recomend the SB also. Just installed mine a few weeks back... best thing I have done so far. If you get sick of the long shifting between gears I suggest the short throw shift kit.

yours was probably replaced if its not making any noise i got 85k miles on mine and its chatter. i saw a kit on here somewhere for a short throw, i think hurst made one?

My truck was a highway truck it has 321K on it I am not sure if the PO did any clutch work but other wise my clutch is still holding but I can downshift into second and if I go into the at normal shift a small chirp grind. other than that doesn't make any noise.

yea i have heard nothing but good bout these transmisions. but theres no noise.itll bark second on 40s so i assume its still in good shape till i kill it..
